Details:
Marco was born in the bustling city of Elista to wealthy parents. His parents were merchants for the Knollerg Trading Guild who travelled all over Mytera making trade deals. Marco’s parents would often take him along on their trips to far away lands, and this is how Marco got a taste for adventure. The constant travel meant Marco was more at home on the road than staying at the family residence in Elista. As a child on these trips Marco would hear many thrilling tales of heroes, villains, dragons and kings further fuelling his desire for exciting adventure. A consequence of the travel was that Marco didn’t have any friends his own age; the family’s servants were the closest thing he had to friends. When Marco was 14 he began training to be a fighter, much to his parents chagrin. The fact that Marco choose to become a fighter, instead of a paladin, for someone who lived on the tales of Knights and Dragons is something of an oddity. His parents eventually gave up on persuading him to take on the family business and hired the best trainers money could buy. Or how his father put it “If your going to get yourself killed, you at least better do it right”. Marco would train everyday, whether he was on the road or staying at an inn. Overtime he showed particular skill and fondness for dual wielding long swords. Marco entered many fighting competitions between the ages of 15 and 18. In the beginning he would loose every fight but by age 17 he had made a name for himself having won the Champion of Swords and the King of Blades competitions. It was then that Marco decided to leave home and hit the road by himself. His parents understood that they couldn’t stop him from going and so gave him money and people to contact if he was ever in trouble. At first travelling south of Elista to the troubled border region between Tralon and Azul, Marco found going tough. People in that area were weary of young adventurers who would come into the area only to be killed days later in a misadventure. Marco would prove different, his skills with the long sword impressed people and so Marco was able to make money from guarding trade caravans. This did not live up his expectation of adventure so he left and headed to the far north. Arriving in the town of Nilarc Marco was able to get a job from a group of wealthy hunters. The hunters had noticed a drop in the number of their favourite game and wanted to know the cause. Heading into the Yulian the forest to investigate Marco soon came across Lila and Kate. Lila and Kate were hunting down trolls, which were the cause of drop in game. Marco decided to help the girls hunt down the trolls – he had at last found real adventure. This began a year long journey hunting down the trolls and destroying their mounds for the trio. As they did it became clear someone was controlling the trolls; their numbers were too great and they were organized – an oddity. Over this time the group became friends, however Marko and Lila became much more than that – they become lovers. The two were from very different backgrounds but were somewhat similar in character. Seemingly at the end of their journey with the last troll mound destroyed, the trio received word from the druidic council stating that they had been chosen to track down the shadowy figure behind the trolls. With Marko as the group leader (Lila has never left the forest before and Kate hasn’t left in 4 years) they set out into the human lands, the most likely source of the shadowy figure. There first destination was the Human Capital of Kio.

Location: The party can be found in The Sun's Gateway district of the city of Kio.

Initial Items:

Long Sword +1: Faith’s Gift
This long sword has noble heritage as it was previously wielded by the paladin Gricius Largoni. To begin with the sword was nothing more than a regular Long Sword but through Gricius’s deeds he earned rewards from powerful mages. Two of these mages, Urigil and Toblon, gave this weapon it’s current enchantments. Bestowing +1 damage and the ability to cast Armour of Faith on it. Armour of Faith can only be cast a few times before the energy of Toblon’s enchantment wears off. Marco purchased the sword off Gricius Largoni’s family, the paladin had long since passed away and the family was short on money. Gricius Largoni would have been happy to have his sword help his family in this way, and he would also wish those who wield it to be of good spirit.

Special Abilities:
Armour of Faith Can cast Armour of Faith 10 times. The caster of the Armor of Faith receives significant protection against melee and magical attacks. This magical armor is a force of energy that absorbs a portion of the damage intended for the caster. At first level, the protection is 5%, and every five levels of the caster improves this by another 5%. A 20th level caster would have 25% of her damage 'absorbed' if protected by this spell.

Long Sword +1
These swords are usually referred to as doubled-edged swords, war swords, or military swords. In many cases, the longsword has a single-edged blade. There is no single version of the longsword; the design and length vary from culture to culture, and may vary within the same culture depending on the era. Among the most common characteristics of all longswords is their length, which ranges from 35 inches to 47 inches. In the latter case, the blade is known to take up 40 inches of the total length. Most longswords have a double-edged blade and a sharp point at the tip. Despite the tip, the longsword is designed for slashing, not thrusting. This particular Long Sword has been enchanted to make it’s blade extra sharp.
